Join “Bless Fruitland Park” as we work together with others within our communities to saturate our Fruitland Park and surrounding area with Random Acts of Kindness and special planned activities February 7-14th, 2026. During “Love Week” we are encouraging local Businesses, Churches, Civic groups and individuals to join us in our efforts by brainstorming and carrying out your own creative ideas within our neighborhoods and communities. We are encouraging participants to flood social media with the acts of kindness that is happening in and around us as we encourage one another by taking pictures and using #LOVEWEEK.
This February, join us at the Fruitland Park Library as we spread love and kindness throughout our community! In celebration of Love Week, we are excited to announce a special collection drive dedicated to helping those in need. Throughout the entire month of February, we will be gathering essential baby care items such as baby wipes, powder, and diaper rash cream. These donations will be shared with the Community Partnership Program, which will ensure they reach families who could use extra support. Drop off at Fruitland Park Library 604 W. Fruitland Park Recreation will be hosting the 5k Love Run run on Feb 7th @ 8 a.m. 205 W. Berckman St. Fruitland Park. Proceeds will benefit the New Beginnings Refuge: a faith based non-profit dedicated to restoring hope, and stability to homeless families within our community. Citizens First Bank is hosting our annual hot dog cookout on Friday February 13th along with the drawing for our “Date Night” themed raffle basket being held the same day. The basket will be on display and tickets available at the Citizens First Bank located at 3290 US 27/441 in Fruitland Park. The hot dog lunch is open to all with a requested $7 donation. Lunch is free for all Fruitland Park emergency responders as a thank you for service to our community. Tickets for the raffle basket go on sale January 29th and can be purchased at the Fruitland Park branch. Proceeds will go to Bless Fruitland Park to help us continue impacting our local community. The men’s ministry of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Wildwood will be holding one of their annual 18 hole scramble golf tournaments at Continental Country Club in Wildwood, Florida on Monday March 9th, to raise funds to support local youth and children’s programs. On Wednesday February 11th, at 9:00 am, "Project Legacy” will host its “Giving Hands Day” celebration at Fruitland Park Elementary School located at 901 Olive ave. in Fruitland Park in the cafeteria. The event will gather supporters of Project Legacy as well as recognize some of the area’s nonprofit organizations (focusing on child and teen programs) that have received financial assistance from Project Legacy. We will also hear about upcoming plans and opportunities. “Trinity Constructors” will be sponsoring this event and provide a light breakfast beginning at 8:45 am. Community United Methodist Church, located at 309 College Avenue, Fruitland Park, will provide a Ministry Fair on Sunday, February 8th, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. The Ministry Fair will provide information and opportunities for a variety of ministries provided by Community United Methodist Church to our community. Activities for children will be provided, and our local Boy Scout troop will also be raising funds through their Spaghetti Supper. “Bless Fruitland Park” (BFP) began January 2015 and is an ongoing effort of individuals, churches, businesses, local civic and social groups in the Fruitland Park area that are committed to work together to make a difference and create an atmosphere of partnership and generosity within our Fruitland Park Community. Since inception, Bless Fruitland Park’s efforts through “Generosity Week” each August, has raised over $150,000 in cash and resource donations for Fruitland Park Elementary School. We believe “So goes the School, so goes the Community."
